Lightlines at the East Carnegie Library San Jose, CA
Artwork commissioned by The City of San Jose Public Art Program for a modern addition to the original East Carnegie Library in the East Santa Clara neighborhood. Lightlines is a ceiling hung reflective light sculpture comprised of powder-coated aluminum coils in a lustrous pale green, punctuated with laser cut iridescent "edge light" acrylic calligraphic forms which are transparent on the clear surface, but brilliantly colored on the hand scored light lines and edge cuts. These descending images are attached to endpoints of "star" formed aluminum rods, each star with 16 end points.
